Application Process

We’re delighted that you are considering Islamia Girls School for your daughter. Here, we try to make the application process as smooth as possible, so that you can make the right decision for your child. 

We are now accepting online applications for Year 7 for the 2026–2027 academic year (for September 2026 start).

Occasionally, places also become available for in-year applications. If you wish to make an in-year application for Year 7, Year 8 or Year 9 after the start of the academic year, please contact the Admissions Officer by email (admissions@islamiaschools.com) for details of any vacancies. The online application form is for September 2026 Year 7 entry online.

The application process has 4 Stages and these are outlined below. At the bottom of this page, you will be able to complete the Application Form, and download our Enrolment Policy. You can find information about school fees and terms & conditions related to them here.


Stage 1: Making the Application

If you would like to apply for the the 2026-2027 Year Year 7 intake, please complete the online Application Form from the link below.

Parents / Guardians are required to pay a non-refundable Application Fee of £180 (includes VAT) per student when submitting an application.


Stage 2: Entrance Examinations

Following receipt of your Application Form, your child will be invited to sit our Entrance Examinations at one of our schools.

Your child will sit the Adaptive Admissions Test provided by GL Assessments. These are online multiple choice tests in Mathematics (50 minutes), English (25 minutes), Verbal Reasoning (36 minutes), and Non Verbal Reasoning  (32 minutes). Candidates will either be invited for a morning session or an afternoon session on a school day.

Stage 3: Interview Procedure

If your child has successfully passed the Entrance Examinations, you will then be invited for an interview.

Where appropriate, both parents must attend the interview with the child. If one parent is absent, the interview may be cancelled and rescheduled. Please see section 4 of the Enrolment Policy for details about the interview procedure.


Stage 4: Offer of a Place & Enrolment

Either at the interview or shortly after, you will be informed if your child is to be offered a place at the school. Where applicable, an offer letter will then follow in writing.

Once your child is offered a place at the school, you will be sent documents including the School Contract, Home/School Agreement, and a selection of school policies for your information. Details of the school uniform will also be provided at this stage. You will be required to complete and return the requisite documentation so that your child can be formally enrolled at the school.

In order to secure your child's place at the school, you will be required to pay a one-off Administration Fee of £180 (includes VAT) and a Security Deposit of £650. Please see section 2 of the Fees Terms & Conditions of the Enrolment Policy for further details.

Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on the school's waiting list and contacted in the event of any vacancies.
