Year 7 Parent’s Welcome Evening

On September 10th, we hosted a Parent’s Welcome Evening for families of our new Year 7 students at Islamia Girls School (IGS) and Bredenbury College (BCB).

Held at the IGS Mosque, the event provided parents with the opportunity to meet our Headteacher, and deputy heads from both IGS and BCB, as well as form tutors, and subject teachers. Parents were also able to learn more about school procedures and policies, and to take part in a short Q&A session with staff.

After the presentation, parents and students enjoyed refreshments while they connected with other Year 7 families. The evening was designed to help them feel supported as their children begin secondary school. Our hope is to ensure strong communication and partnership between home and school from the very start of their new journey at Islamia.
